Do you know what your risk of having a heart attack or stroke is?
Having a regular Heart Health Check with your GP will help you better understand your risk of a heart attack or stroke.
Your GP and nurse can help you lower this risk. A Heart Health Check is a 20-minute check-up with your GP to assess your risk of having a heart attack or stroke.
Preventative Care for Your Heart Health
The GPs at The Woods Medical Centre are here to treat you if you feel unwell, but also to prevent future health problems. Your GP will want to detect any illness in its early stages to treat it more effectively. This could involve tests such as checking your blood pressure or having a heart check.
Our team can also advise on preventative care, such as advice about living a healthy lifestyle. If you have a family history of heart disease or stroke, your GP may want to discuss this with you, too.
