Experience & Professional Interests
I graduated from Medicine at UWA in Perth in 1994 and completed my General Practice training in 2000, winning the Edward Gawthorn Prize for the highest mark in Western Australia for the Fellowship in that year.
What I enjoy most about General Practice is caring for Perth patients over long periods of time and sometimes treating three or four generations of the same family.
I have done further study and gained extra qualifications in Paediatrics, Palliative Care, Travel Medicine and Public Health.
I have worked at The Woods Medical Centre since 2013 and immensely enjoy our small, personal inner-city practice, even more so in our beautiful heritage building.
Outside of Work
I am a mum of two boys and am lucky enough to have a husband who is a fantastic cook!
We love to travel and plan to see as much of the world as we can (which was part of my motivation to study Travel Medicine). Africa is a favourite place.
Random Fact:
We have pet lizards 🙂
Favourite Quote:
Life is a journey, not a destination – so take it one day at a time.
