Our mission is to enhance the health of families living in Perth, focusing on preventative care and expert skin cancer treatment for residents living near Scarborough, Innaloo, Woodlands and surrounding suburbs.
MyMedicare is a new voluntary patient registration model. It aims to formalise the relationship between patients, their general practice, general practitioner (GP) and primary care teams.
When you register with MyMedicare, it will notify your general practice that you have chosen them as your regular care team. Additional funding will be available from the government to help them provide the care you need.

Our Perth-based medical centre, located in Scarborough is a doctor-owned and operated medical practice that offers personalised, high-quality medical care.
Situated in a beautiful heritage building on Scarborough Beach Road, there is plenty of parking and we welcome both new and existing patients.
Our founding Doctor and owner, Dr. Angie (Angeline) Barker created the centre in 2008 because she believed that patients needed better family medicine services than corporate practices were delivering. Dr. Barker and her colleagues have since built a family medical practice that really values personal health. We specialise in Skin Cancer detection and management.

Skin Cancer Checks
One in two Australians will develop skin cancer in their lifetime.
Dr. Barker, Dr. Oh and Dr Chudasama have extra qualifications in Skin Cancer Medicine and Surgery and use advanced technology to aid in the early detection of skin cancer. Digital images can be stored on file for future comparisons.

Our General Practitioners (GPs) are all fully qualified and each have their own areas of expertise. Our consulting and treatment rooms are clean, private and fully equipped with the latest medical technologies.
We have a full-time nurse to support to the team of Doctors, allowing many services to be delivered in-house.

We understand that healthcare is personal
Our founding Doctor, Dr. Angie Barker created the centre back in 2008 because she believed that everyone should have access to a family doctor that can be there for their entire health journey.
She wanted to combine this belief with her expertise in Skin Cancer treatment and has since grown the Perth-based practice alongside her colleagues who are also recognised for their skills in family medicine and skin cancer detection and management.
Emergency GP Appointments available
Walk-in patients without appointments will be triaged to determine urgency. Priority is given to patients with scheduled appointments. Please inform the receptionist if your matter is urgent.
We know that the nature of health needs is that they can be unexpected. We always try to ensure we can see you within an appropriate timeframe. Life may be unpredictable, but we make sure you can depend on us to be there for your care.
Skin Cancer Detection & Prevention Experts
Our doctors are Perth-based General Practitioners (GPs) who have done extra training in different areas of interest. Dr. Angie Barker holds a Fellowship with the Skin Cancer College Australasia, which is considered the highest qualification available to GPs working in skin cancer medicine. Dr. May Sian Oh and Dr Atish Chudasama hold the Advanced Clinical Certificate in Skin Cancer Medicine and Surgery and Dermoscopy.
We are a Privately Billing Perth-based Medical Practice
Discounted fees are available for eligible Pensioners, Health Card holders, children and full-time students.
Children under 12 will be bulkbilled. Note that some services may require extra fees.
DNA fees will apply to patients who cancel their appointments within two hours of the appointment time.
Telehealth and Telephone consults will be charged privately and in line with the face to face fees.

To obtain a home visit during clinic hours it needs to be safe and reasonable for the WADMS GP and within 5km radius of the clinic. When the patient is triaged and a home or other visit is deemed neither safe nor reasonable, a telephone consultation may be offerred.
